Universal Love — 400 × 90 cm (pentaptych), 2025

Universal Love emerges from the encounter between art and science. The work is based on the alignment of oxytocin gene orthologues across different species. Often referred to as the “bonding hormone,” oxytocin plays an important role in social and maternal bonding, attachment, and affection. The remarkable similarity of this gene across many species suggests that what we call emotion and affection is not exclusively human, but part of a biological heritage shared across living beings.

Through a visual language derived from genetic code, Universal Love invites us to reconsider our place within the living world. It calls for a deeper recognition of the emotional lives of other species and encourages a relationship with life in all its forms based on respect, awareness, and care.
