In this work, Nathalie explores the dialogue between science and the inner self. The background is composed of the exact sequence of the CACNA1 gene, whose mutations have been associated with certain psychiatric disorders. Over this scientific framework, the artist introduces a dense, almost absolute black. It acts as a weight, a force of oppression and silence—a metaphor for the inner darkness in which the mind can sometimes become lost.
